bei mir hat es wie folgt funktioniert:

putenv(‘TMPDIR=/is/htdocs/user_tmp/wpXXXXXXX_XXXXXXXXXX/’);

-> einfach das unter “Allgemein” bei HostEurope angegebene TMP-Verzeichnis nutzen + man muss keine weiteren Verzeichnisse unter wp-content anlegen.
